![]() All combined, you can overwhelm your opponents with one of Hearthstone’s most underutilized tribes. And to top it all off, Gigantotem represents a powerful individual threat you can slam onto the board. Then, using powerful Totem buffs like The Stonewright, you can turn your Totemic army into a real threat. You’ll have no shortage of Totems available to you thanks to Genn Greymane making your Hero Power cost one mana, and the new weapon, Carving Chisel, summons them as well. However, the latest influx of Totem cards in Murder at Castle Nathria created enough synergy in Wild to turn the deck into a dominant force. Once upon a time, it was known as Wallet Warrior because of how expensive it was (sometimes even over 10k Dust, which is actually not that much these days). Their only choice is to sit and twiddle their thumbs as you slowly beat them to death with a flock of Parrots.ĭespite their best efforts, the Hearthstone dev team has never quite been able to make a Totem Shaman deck viable in Standard. Control Warrior is one of the classic archetypes in Hearthstone. Thanks to the combination of Grey Sage Parrot and Potion of Illusion, you can repeat the effect of Time Warp over and over, locking your opponent out of the game entirely. Back when Open the Waygate was in standard, it was used to set up lethal combos, but its usage in Wild can feel even less fair. The quest in question, Open the Waygate, ends by giving you the Time Warp spell, which allows you to skip your opponent’s next turn. Quest Mage is the perfect example of the absolute degeneracy that is possible in the Wild format. It’s the perfect card for an aggressive deck, and Pirate Rogue uses it exceptionally well.
